About the Housewife

I am a twenty-something married lesbian mom living in the suburbs of Boston, MA. My wife, C, and I have been together for eight years, and are proud mamas of our son, H, born May 2010.

I’ve been a feminist since kindergarten, when I accused my teacher of gender discrimination. She was pretty stunned – I’m sure in part because I had correctly used the word “discrimination.”

I am a stay at home mom by choice.  I love music, great big beautiful books (though I don’t have much time for reading these days!), interior design, and being an earthy-crunchy, breastfeeding, baby-wearing, cloth diapering mom.

My wife keeps a roof over our heads, the ground steady under my feet, and gives me more love and patience than anyone could ask for.  Our son is full of smiles and energy and makes every day brighter.

I started this blog with grandiose visions of one day joining the ranks of the great Mommy Bloggers, though, at the time, I was not yet a mommy.  Now that I am a mom, I struggle to find the time to write at all!
